If you were to ask me how I got here, I couldn't really tell you. Growing up, I was far from girly and I couldn't even tell you what the difference between mascara and eye liner were! After high school I tried pursuing a degree in Nursing, knowing I wanted to help people and make a difference. After 1 year of that, I knew it wasn't for me. After trying out several different jobs and watching multiple friends pursue the cosmetology route, in 2014, I figured I'd give it a shot... And I LOVED it!
As someone who has had a variety of cuts, colors and styles - from long hair with black box color before I was a hairstylist, to a cute short pixie with an undercut for my 30th birthday, I have tried just about everything on my own hair. Like many women, I want hair that makes me feel amazing and that's easy to style and maintain.
If you sit in my chair, plan to find a new love for your hair. Through low-maintenance color techniques and cuts that are custom tailored to your hair type, texture and lifestyle, I'll help you learn easy to recreate styles that are perfect for work, errands or anything in between with color that has longevity and grows out seamlessly.
My husband and I moved here in 2021 when he accepted a job to work as a contractor at Fort Liberty. We adopted our first dog last year, a hound mix named Baylee, and we just had our first child. I am currently on maternity leave with our little one for a few more weeks, but will be coming back behind the chair in August.
When I am not at the salon, you can find us relaxing at home with our little one, snuggling our pup, hosting a small group at our house on the weekends and serving with our church. I love to cook and bake, and often help out with our meal train.
When I find some free time to myself, I love to grab coffee with a friend, enjoy a good book (currently I'm reading the book 'Boundaries'), do a little thrifting, or working on new recipe cards to try out.
Besides doing hair, I am an avid budgeter, meal planner and thrifting expert! If you want the best thrifting, you'll want to hit up Raleigh, Durham, Cary and/ or Apex to find the best deals and most options for shopping!
